One app for your journeys in Albania
Hipo is available on Google Play and the App Store. Choose your pickup and destination to see the route and fare. You can check this without creating an account.
Tirana, Durrës, a hotel, the airport or a journey between cities: always enter your exact addresses. Availability depends on nearby partner drivers and acceptance of your request. A fare on the screen does not mean that a driver has been assigned.
From an address to a ride request
Choose your pickup and destination on the map. Check that the pickup pin marks the correct entrance and a place where a car can stop. If your phone’s GPS places you across the street or at a neighbouring building, correct the location before continuing.
Review the route, fare and payment method. Sign in when you decide to request a taxi and complete the verification required by the app. Once a driver accepts, you can see the driver, vehicle and registration plate. Match those details to the car before getting in.
Visiting Albania
You can switch the app language to English. For a hotel, apartment or restaurant, check both the address and the map pin: a place name alone may not identify the entrance where you are waiting. Keep your phone connected to the internet for request updates and use the trip contact option to clarify the meeting point.
For account or platform questions, email support@hipo.taxi with a short description. A support email does not confirm a booking. Do not send login codes, passwords or payment card details.
Airport journeys and timed plans
For Tirana → Rinas airport, enter your actual pickup address and select the airport as your destination. Conditions for a qualifying direct urban route without stops do not automatically apply to the return journey, a pickup outside the zone or a route with stops. Review the conditions in the app.
Allow time for traffic, waiting for a driver and your airline’s arrival requirements. Estimated travel times can change. For a trip between cities, check the specific itinerary; Albania being the platform’s national focus does not guarantee that every route is served.
Payment and sharing your journey
Licensed partners provide transport; Hipo is the online platform connecting you. Pay the driver at the end in cash, or by POS terminal when the driver offers it and you have selected it in your request. Hipo does not process card payments inside the app.
During an active ride, you can send a tracking link to someone you choose. They can open it in a browser without an account. Map updates depend on GPS and an internet connection, so share the link only with people you want to see the journey.
