Try the fare without an account

Enter your pickup and destination on the map to see the route and fare. You only need to sign in when you decide to request a taxi.

The fare applies to the route you confirm. Review the updated price if you change your trip or add stops. You can switch the app language to English.

From Blloku, the centre or your hotel

Set the pickup where you are actually waiting. Near a pedestrian area, on a busy road or at a hotel with several entrances, the map pin can be more useful than the place name. Check the side of the road and choose a place where a taxi can safely stop.

Use Hipo to check a journey across the city or towards Tirana International Airport. For a flight, allow time for a driver to accept, reach your pickup and travel through traffic. The airport guide explains how to check the direction and meeting point.

Know which car is coming

Once a driver accepts, the app shows the assigned driver, vehicle and registration plate. Driver documents are checked by the Hipo team.

Location updates depend on GPS and an internet connection. Follow the ride in the app and check that the car matches before getting in.

Share the journey

Create a tracking link from an active ride and send it to someone you choose. They can open it in a browser without installing Hipo or creating an account.

A few useful answers.

Is a taxi guaranteed when a fare is displayed?

No. A nearby driver must be available and accept the request. Once accepted, you will see the assigned driver, vehicle and number plate. A fare quote on its own is not a confirmed booking.

How do I pay?

Pay the driver at the end in cash, or by the driver’s POS terminal when offered and selected in your request. Hipo does not process card payments inside the app.

Where can I see offers I qualify for?

The app shows applicable offers and your final fare before confirmation. Eligibility may require a verified phone number and checks against ride history. Discounts do not stack; review the offer applied to your request.
